The jewel in the crown can be Le Baron Perché, a wooden suite perched on stilts that have a view of the lake. The suite is filled with neutral colors, filled with unusual items from owner Alice Turbia’s local Flow markets and a private Nordic bath.

SLH Insider Tip: Discover the spot of the Loire à Velo cycle with the hotel’s on the house bikes. Along the river and through the Lower Vineyards along with the Renaissance chapter of the past, more than 550 miles of cycle paths follow.
